Subject: One of the best of '83
Set 1 highlights: Things are fairly standard until the excellent Hell in a Bucket>Deal.
Set 2 HIGHlights: LOTS of songs and big jams. Not the best Morning Dew ever, but perhaps the best of '83. Each year has it's own "best" Morning Dew, IMO. Jerry's vocals are on point!
Set 1 is Jerry's - Bob has lyric trouble galore, and Jer even has some trouble spitting out Bertha...but the energy is there; Bird Song, Deal, et al are as good as you expect.
Set 2 from Scarlet through Touch is why you are here. It's a gorgeous suite - check that Playin' at 18 minutes (Bobby winds up onstage along as the jam dissolves into Drums). Heck with the encores.
So, there's some mighty fine 2nd-set stuff going on here that is totally worth hearing, esp. the beginning of the set. Not one of the best shows of '83, but you won't remember that bit of advice as the S>F>Playin' medley really gets going.

P.S. How can there NOT be a board of this for Charlie Miller to work his magic on???

With this and 11-29-80, I'm eternally content.
Thank You Jim Wise. May they name a spring after you - may it run forever.
